Designer Eyewear Collections Debut at Dallas-based Goo Goo Eyes
Style-philes go ga ga for high fashion designs by Bugatti, Alain Mikli, Oliver Peoples, Carolina Herrera, and others.

DALLAS, Texas —May 16 , 2007—The countdown to summer is on and the Snider Plaza eyewear boutique Goo Goo Eyes is gearing up with new luxury eyewear collections. “We’re excited to be offering the same designer collections that were once exclusive to Paris, Milan, Los Angeles, and New York,” says founder Peter Granoff. “Dallas is truly one of the most stylish cities in the nation and we’re making sure the best-dressed have the best eyewear collections available to them.”

Bugatti is an exclusive luxury brand that is hand made in France. Each pair of glasses reflects the precision engineering and beguiling beauty of Ettore Bugatti's automotive designs. The latest collection is composed of billet aluminum, palladium, ruthenium and 22-carat gold. Impressively, the temples incorporate a microchip that can download the wearer’s personal prescription or contact information.

Alain Mikli

Mikli’s collections are regarded as works of art and worn by some of Hollywood’s best-dressed stars. The line made its public debut on the nose of Elton John in 1983 (the singer is now famed for the round, retro style which has become a symbol of his identity). Geometric shapes, unexpected design elements (i.e. double temples and invisible hinges), and materials such as acetate, titanium and buffalo horn make this unusual collection a fashion statement you can wear every day.

Oliver Peoples

Oliver Peoples glasses, designed by Larry Leight, have influenced designers all over the globe. Jennifer Lopez, Kate Winslet, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are among the collections most loyal fans. The Oliver Peoples Summer 2007 Sunwear collection marks the beginning of a directional change, that makes room not only for the hugely popular oversized trend, but new frames that are sleeker and smaller with a modern perspective on old Hollywood style.

This small, charismatic German design house creates a decidedly elegant collection that features vintage horn rim designs.

Carolina Herrara

Carolina Herrera’s Sunwear collection possesses intricate, albeit bold, detail. Think ornate Art Nouveau motifs with Swarovski crystals, exotic laser treatments, mother of pearl inlays, and beveled inner temples with signature temple tips. Summer hues include black/cream horn, red/horn, caramel stripe, olive, and a very dashing noir weave.

Kyoto

Ultra-feminine because of its delicate design, Kyoto’s titanium Waza collection boasts exquisite color combinations such as pearlized white with green on the backside, black with hot pink on the backside, and pearl pink with bright olive temples (note that the temples are laser cut).
