We proudly have a soft spot for our furry friends. At the time of our move from Snider Plaza to our Lovers Lane location in 2010, we discovered that three alley cats had taken up residence behind our store. Little did we know that these furry companions would soon become cherished members of the Goo Goo Eyes family.
Today, we are grateful to be able to provide food, fresh water, and lavish attention to our beloved elderly friends. We have also taken steps to ensure their safety and freedom by installing a pet door. This allows them to come and go as they please while keeping them protected. So if you’re in the mood for a little head-butt, want to provide some scratches, and coax them into some purring, the kitties await.
Mittens — Our Mascot (age 19)
Mittens, the elder statesman, has appointed himself an Official Greeter. His handsome tuxedo appearance and unflappable calm make Mittens the 007 of the feline world. He loves people and, when not asleep in a chair, meanders about with an eye out for a vacant seat or inviting lap to snuggle into. So, take a seat at your own risk.
Fluffy (Male, age 16)
The handsome Fluffy is open to head scratches to those who are patient enough to earn his trust. Fluffy shares dual residence at the store and lounging deck and poolside at a nearby home.
Grouchy (Female, age 16)
Grouchy and Mittens are in a relationship. She’s an observer, mostly of Mittens, showing her softer side through their connection. Despite not being a fan of pets, she appreciates treats, and we keep a jar explicitly filled for that purpose.
