At Tavat, each frame can take up to nine months to produce, and undergoes more than one hundred handmade steps ensuring artistic and technical excellence during which each frame also undergoes multiple quality control checkpoints throughout its production cycle.
A particular feature of the Tavat collection, the brand also champions some of the finest lens technology, featuring melanin enhanced lenses for their sunglasses. Melanin is the naturally occurring pigment found throughout the human body. Its role is to protect us against sunlight damage, by filtering Ultraviolet (UV) and High Energy Visible (HEV) light, better known as “Violet-Blue Light.” Melanin is in fact the best natural defense against the harmful effects of the sun.
