About the Tavat Eyewear Collection
Tavat’s incredible SoupCan Collection was inspired by how flying goggles were thought to be made from Soup Cans in 1930’s America! The original SoupCan frame designs by Tavat required an entirely different method of manufacture. Each frame is created almost entirely by “coining” Alpacca and “dying” components, followed by the assembly and finishing by hand. Today Tavat has an extensive series of eyewear collections, having built on the SoupCan Collection and expanded with innovations. The collections are curated to offer a wide choice of men’s and women’s shapes, material mixes, and styles with high levels of comfort and a timeless and ageless style.
What To Look For
Tavat frames have a unique technical construction that is immediately striking. The frames are created in a variety of materials which include acetate and metals such as stainless steel. All the hardware and details of the frames are perfectly refined – from the minute metal components to high-tech patented hinges and hypoallergenic, comfy nose pads.
The color palette is elegant and luxurious, with a preference for classic tones of black, gold, and natural tones of green, tortoise, and brown, and exquisite attention to a variety of surface finishes – find matte, glossy, and chrome, among other special effects!
